Fond du Lac Band wins award for biomass project

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa was recently honored by Heating the Midwest for its biomass thermal project. The project uses local waste wood to heat the Sawyer Community Center.

Fond du Lac’s initiatives make good business sense as energy efficiency saves money in the long run but more importantly, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the planet for our children and their children
— Bruce Savage, District II Representative
